Sonmarg or ‘the meadow of gold’ has one of the most picturesque views in Kashmir. Sonmarg is also one of the base points for starting the Amarnath Yatra. River rafting, zorbing, trekking are the various events conducted around the popular tourist spots.

Gulmarg entails adventure and excitement. Along with prominent skiing options, trekking, snowboarding, golfing, mount biking and fishing are the prime options that Gulmarg overwhelms you with. Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT SRINAGAR

• Upon arrival at Srinagar Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport (This must be one of the most scenic flights in the world), you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.

• Check-in and relax.

• In the afternoon, visit the Shankaracharya Temple, a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus, located atop a hill overlooking the city.

• Later, visit the Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Garden of Love), and Pari Mahal (also known as the "Terrace of Fairies"), a beautiful terraced garden built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

• In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk along the Boulevard Road and do some shopping.

• Enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02: SRINAGAR TO SONMARG (DAY EXCURSION TO SONMARG) 87 Kms - 04 Hrs One Way

• After a leisurely breakfast, we depart on an excursion to Sonmarg.

• Sonmarg, which means "Meadow of Gold," has its backdrop of snowy mountains against the blue sky.

• The drive offers incredible scenic beauty, dense pine forests, and gigantic mountains.   

• The place provides an ideal base for various trekking routes, high mountain lakes, glaciers, and the Sri Amarnath Holy cave.   

• The river meanders along here and abounds with Trout & Mahseer.

• Sonamarg's importance lies in the fact that it is the last halt on the Kashmir side for the drive from Srinagar to Leh.   

• Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

DAY 03: SRINAGAR TO GULMARG (DAY EXCURSION TO GULMARG) 60 Kms - 02 Hrs One Way

• Early morning, after a leisurely breakfast, we proceed to Gulmarg, driving past willow trees, fast-flowing streams, and lush green meadows.

• Gulmarg, the "Meadow of Flowers," is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden meadow offering a spectacular view of towering snow-capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers and gigantic fir and pine trees.   

• Stroll leisurely or take pony rides (by your own payment) across the green meadow to one of the world's highest golf courses.   

• A must is a fun-filled ride in the Gondola lift (by your own payment).

• Return to Srinagar in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.   

DAY 04: SRINAGAR TO PAHALGAM (102 Kms - 03 Hrs One Way)

• After a leisurely breakfast, we check out from the hotel and leave for an overnight stay at "Pahalgam," called the "Valley of Shepherds."

• Pahalgam is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River.

• Pahalgam (2,130 m) was once a humble shepherd's village with breathtaking views.   

• En route, visit saffron fields and the 19th-century Awantipura Ruins.

• Upon arrival, check in to the pre-arranged hotel.

• The rest of the day is free to enjoy and explore the beauty of "Pahalgam" (on your own).

• One can go to Aru (10 kms from Pahalgam), which is a fine meadow of picturesque scenery and the starting point of trekking to Lidderwat, Kolahoi Glacier, and Tarsar Lake, and Betaab Valley.

ARU VALLEY

• It is located around 12 km from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River.

• Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes, and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake.   

• The village lies on the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder River.   

• The Aru Valley is noted for its scenic meadows.

• It is popular among tourists for its peaceful environment and scenic beauty.   

• Other popular tourist activities include fishing for trout in the Lidder River, trekking, hiking, horse riding, sightseeing, and photography.

BETAAB VALLEY   

• Situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Pahalgam.

• The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film "Betaab."

• The valley is surrounded by lush green meadows, snow-clad mountains, and covered with dense vegetation.   

• Betaab Valley is a very popular tourist destination.   

• Betaab Valley is also a favorite campsite of travelers as it also serves as a base camp for trekking and further exploration of the mountains.

• The valley is a walkable distance from Pahalgam.   

• The crystal-clear & chilly water of the stream bubbling down from the snowy hills is a delight; locals here drink this water too.

• Baisaran and Tulian Lake are a few nearby attractions that can be visited.

DAY 05: PAHALGAM SIGHTSEEING

• Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.

• Embark on a sightseeing tour of Pahalgam.

• Visit Baisaran Valley, often referred to as "Mini Switzerland," known for its scenic beauty and picturesque landscapes.

• Enjoy the scenic views, take photos, and soak in the natural beauty of the valley.

• Have lunch at a local restaurant (on Own).

• Return to your hotel in Pahalgam.

• Relax and unwind in the evening.

• Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel.

• Overnight stay at the hotel in Pahalgam.

DAY 06: PAHALGAM TO SRINAGAR (102 Kms - 03 Hrs One Way)

• A warm cup of tea with a delicious breakfast should get you ready for the day of activity. Leave from your hotel refreshed and satiated with your breakfast and move towards Srinagar.

• In the afternoon, we take a visit to the Mughal Gardens: Nishat Garden, known as 'Garden of pleasure', built in the 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan.

• Then visit to Shalimar Garden, known as 'Garden of love', built in the 16th century (1619) by Mughal King Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jahan (or Mehr-un-Nissa) & Chashmashahi (The Royal Spring).   

• The Chashmashahi Mughal garden in Srinagar had been loved by emperors and picnickers alike.

• Dinner & overnight stay at the Houseboat.   

DAY 07: DEPART SRINAGAR (FLY OUT)

• A warm cup of tea with a delicious breakfast should get you ready for the Airport.

• Leave from your hotel refreshed and satiated with your breakfast and move towards the Srinagar International Airport.

• Wake up to the early morning breakfast and check out from the hotel.
